Current and past artists have been been showcased through various platforms, including The Voice Australia, The Voice Generations, Australia’s Got Talent, Southern Stars, Pulse Alive, Schools Spectacular, The X Factor, Solo Vocal Camp, Encore, Onstage, Talent Development Project, Sony Music; productions of Mary Poppins, Kinky Boots, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Shrek, Billy Elliot, Matilda; and have attended NIDA, AIM, JMC Academy, WAAPA, Sydney Conservatorium, Western Sydney University, and more.
Check out some common session focuses for private coaching, and some common questions/FAQ’s, all below:
VOCAL
COACHING & TUITION
The service that started it all, Wild Heart was created by renowned vocal coaches - and we pride our service on exactly that. With a heavy focus on vocal technique, vocal health, anatomy understanding, song study, repertoire expansion, and stylistic expression of the individual performer, our vocal coaching is trusted by specialist performers, schools, organisations, and upcoming artists across Sydney to develop you into the artist you were born to be.
PERFORMANCE
COACHING & TUITION
From audience interaction to movement and stagecraft, collaborating with a band and other onstage performers to utilising basic and complex stage formations, Performance Coaching is paired alongside vocal coaching to create the holistic artist ready for the working industry. Often best combined alongside song study or monologue work, your next performance coaching session will quickly become the missing thread you never knew you needed in your artist development.
ACTING
COACHING & TUITION
Elevate your acting and performance skills with one-on-one coaching tailored to your needs for stage and/or screen. From scene studies, character development, audition prep, monologue work, and more, we dive into methods from Stanislavski to Hagen, Meisner to Practical Aesthetics, and explore texts specifically catered to your current and future aimed roles to best fill and diversify your performance portfolio and curate the rounded, entertainment-industry ready actor.
SONGWRITING
COACHING & TUITION
Performance allows you an expression of another’s ideas; writing allows you the world of your own. Songwriting coaching provides artists with the tools to express their innermost moments, memories, and melodies on the page. Combining specialised techniques and strategies (from Song Maps to structures), instrument and artist studies, a working understanding of music theory and its practical use in composition, weekly writing tasks, challenges, and more, our method of songwriting coaching has proven to create writers with skills across a variety of genres ready to work in the writing rooms of today.
INSTRUMENT
COACHING & TUITION
The gigging musician, the upcoming hit songwriter, and the working artist are only as good as the instruments in their arsenal. That’s why we prioritise our artists specialising in an adjacent instrument to assist their storytelling and stage performance. From basic to advanced guitar skills (acoustic, electric, or bass), to developing proficiency on piano; rhythm training on the drums to production and DJ skills, instrument coaching is the final piece of the puzzle for the modern industry leader.

That's a great question! Vocal tuition focuses on the fundamentals of singing, like breath control, vocal technique, and understanding music theory. It's about building a strong foundation. Vocal coaching, on the other hand, is more about fine-tuning your performance skills. Think of it as polishing your existing talent, focusing on things like stage presence, song interpretation, and audition prep.
Whilst Wild Heart as an artist development company works with developing artists who have some pre-existing knowledge, our coaching & tuition is technique-based at all times, and solidifies the pre-existing foundation with a sense of play through coaching.

We don’t just train singers, actors, writers - we train artists.
Artists are multi-faceted creatives with a technical understanding and proficiency of their instrument and craft dedicated to creating, performing, and/or producing works of industry-standard quality - be it full time, part-time, or one time!
Therefore to become a multi-faceted artist, you require multi-faceted training. Private coaching sessions are the artist development ground for the individual creativity of upcoming artists, allowing them a space and mentor to guide them in the growth of their diverse creative skillset - from singing to acting through song, stagecraft and movement to songwriting and music production.
So why isn’t it just vocal or acting coaching? Because it’s so much more than that - and always to help artists.
-
Technique focused - You wouldn’t want a doctor not understanding how the body works, so why should an artist not understand how their instrument works properly? All Wild Heart training is founded upon instilling a proficient understanding of technique and your creative practice, because unlike a normal singing lesson - we want you to be ready to not need us one day!
A sense of play - If there’s one word you’ll hear in a Wild Heart coaching session more than anything else, it’s play. As artists we utilise technique and an articulate knowledge of our instrument to form the basis of our creative play. So you learnt the technique behind placement of your resonators? Fantastic! Now let’s apply it to your song choice. Done that? Brilliant! Now apply it to a completely different style of song that’s just on the edge of your comfort zone! Now ready? Let’s play.
Industry links - Our coaches are current industry professionals who know how this works. Not just from the books, and not just that they’ve studied - they’ve actually done it, and they want to ensure that all Wild Heart artists have the skills and knowledge required to succeed as a modern artist (whether full time, part time, or one time!)
Opportunities - At Wild Heart there’s always an opportunity. Whether you want to perform, create, or produce, Wild Heart’s range of open opportunities and training-exclusive opportunities ensure that all artists have a chance to develop and showcase their skills.
IMPACT - In the industry artists work from project to project (album, release, tour, next album OR audition, show, tour, next audition) - so why shouldn’t your training? The IMPACT method of artist development focuses on each individual artists development through unique projects created by them for them to expand their skillsets.
The Voiceful Method - All Wild Heart vocal coaches follow the Voiceful Method of vocal coaching, founded by our co-founders Nick Leech and Simone Dawson, to ensure vocal performers can not only sing, but understand their instrument, its complexities and abilities, and can utilise their voice to its fullest extend to enhance their artistry.
-
Not at all! Our training stream and opportunities stream are completely separate and do not require artists to participate in all streams to work with Wild Heart!
Want to simply do training? No worries! Want to only take part in our opportunities? Go for it! Want to do both? Let’s go! Wild Heart is your artist development playground to utilise to the extend you require and feel most comfortable.

Co-founders Nick Leech and Simone Dawson begun Wild Heart Creatives as renowned vocal coaches and youth artist development providers. Working with upcoming vocalists everyday they founded an innovative method to be utilised in vocal coaching practices.
Whilst there are a multitude of methods of singing branching from the 2 schools of classical and contemporary training (EVT, SLS, CVT), the Voiceful Method isn’t actually a method of singing - it’s a method of coaching voice.
Proven and promoted by vocal health professionals and taught by coaches from across Sydney, The Voiceful Method of vocal coaching is a 3-tier training system combining the schools of classical and contemporary training to ensure artists maintain a holistic understanding of the voice, from anatomical study and vocal health, to stylised performance and delivery, the Voiceful Method outlines for coaches the method to coach voice whilst maintaining and amplifying each artists unique sound, style, and sense of self.

IMPACT is an artist development program method designed by our co-founders, Nick Leech and Simone Dawson, to ensure upcoming artists are ready for the modern world of artistry.
IMPACT (Individually Measured Projects for Artist Coaching & Tuition) is a system for private coaching that ensures holistic artist development of each unique artist. Each term or semester artists work alongside their coaches to develop a key focus area needed to improve their craft, and work during and outside of their sessions to develop the skills required complete a project surrounding these areas (from solo performance, to recording, to songwriting, and more!)
Think of it like project-based training, and all private coaching sessions utilise the IMPACT method as a proven guide to developing ready artists - but each unique artist’s projects? That’s up to them!
